What this is, and what it isn't

A Telegram bot that sends one letter to one person if you stop answering "still here?"

What the bot stores

Your letter, scrambled. Half of the lock. Your Telegram ID, your first name and theirs, your timezone, and your timing. Nothing else.

What the bot never has

Your letter in plain words. The other half of the lock. That half is created on your phone and travels only in the invitation link you send your person. Their phone keeps it, and it opens the letter there.

Who could still read it

• Telegram carries the invitation link, so Telegram can see it. Whoever Telegram or your chat with your person exposes it to, could too.
• Anyone who holds the full invitation link, and the stored half, can open the letter once it is sent. Treat the invitation like a key.
• If your phone's Telegram cloud is not private to you, the saved copy of your invitation (used for "send again") is not either.
• The service operator could change the site's code. You are trusting that the site you load is the one described here.

It can fail

• It depends on Telegram, Cloudflare, and a free timer that runs about every 3 minutes. Reminders and release can be late, or in rare cases missed. Do not rely on it for anything where a miss costs a life, money or a legal deadline.
• Not a legal will and not a substitute for one.
• One person only. No backup person yet.
• If your person clears their browser data, they lose their half. They can tap "Tell them I need it again" and you can send it again, but if you are gone, they cannot.
• If your person has not tapped Accept, nothing is sent. You are told.
• Quiet hours: daily and longer check-ins are not sent between 10 pm and 8 am your time. Release is not paused.
• After release the letter stays available for 30 days, then it is deleted.

If you got a message you didn't want

Send the bot /leave (stop this letter), /block (stop, and never add you again) or /report (block, and flag it as abuse). We cannot read letters, so reports are about the sender, not the content.
